Event Design+ Styling

YOU ARE THE MUSE

Where lighting transforms a space, adding distinctive styling and furniture sets a scene!

What can a wedding stylist do for you…and do you need one?

I understand that translating your personalities, style, story, and family input into an authentic and effortless wedding is a big ask, and can quite easily become overwhelming due to the many moving pieces that need to be incorporated.

Wedding styling covers everything from huge focal features to minuscule prop details and covers the day from the beginning to the end. This means we’ll ensure every bit of your timetable is ticked off stylistically, from entrance details to dinner tables and dance floors.  We transform spaces by designing intimate ceremony backdrops, building ceiling installations, creating beautiful tablescapes, floral magic, stylish stationery, and everything in between.

Hiring a wedding designer to bring all those elements together to not only create the aesthetics but a visual impact that provides a sensory experience of touch, sound, taste, scent, and mood for you and your guest to experience while making sure that everything works when combined, as well as separately. My collaborative and professional approach will ensure a seamless event, meticulously planned and produced from a concept inspired by an aesthetic that suits your purpose, vision, and guests’ needs and how to make it consistent throughout the event. Uniting you and your guest through a shared ambience and energy, evoking feelings of togetherness and celebration.

There is nothing more wonderful than arriving at your wedding. It is looking and feeling exactly how you imagined and allowing you to relax and enjoy the journey, confident that everything will be managed on your behalf.

OUR

Process

Step 1: Consultation

When booking your consultation, you will be sent a design questionnaire to complete prior to our meeting, not only does this information enable me to form an initial understanding it also provides me with a clear picture from the start, allowing me to gain some initial ideas; while also helping guide you through what you can expect from our meeting.

This is where we will have the opportunity to meet via an initial zoom call so, It’s essential for us to establish a mutual connection right from the start so I can learn more about you as a couple and help me obtain a good overview of what you'd both like to achieve on your wedding day. Collecting input, and personal stories to start exploring your event story; adding guided input to interpret your vision and building the foundations to designing a truly bespoke concept. I will also be able to answer any questions you have about me, my approach, and the planning process.

Once we have gathered all the information needed, and you are happy that we are a good fit, we will move forward to the next stage of design. Arrange an onsite viewing of your chosen venue to walk through placements and design options, we will then head back to put together your bespoke design plan. We do charge a nominal fee of £200 to cover the costs of a local onsite and the design creation process. This becomes payable if you wish to proceed after our initial consultation and we have booked the onsite visit. If you choose The Two Hummingbirds to style your wedding, the £200 already paid will be deducted from the final invoice amount following confirmation of your final plan.

Step 2: Story & Design Development

By gathering all the information during our creation meeting, the contract and design fee is in place, let the fun begin!

During our venue walk-through, we will closely look at the spaces and how to make the most of them to maximise both impact and value for money whilst weaving your personalities through in your design and seeing what most important to you.  Once we are happy that we have captured all the additional venue information, I will then head back to the office and start to research and build your bespoke plan.

As part of the Design Creation phase, you will receive a bespoke styling design document with all the styling components broken down in a quote. This will include mood boards, colour palettes, and a breakdown of all the elements that are to be used to create the design, together with any venue and supplier recommendations required. Refined through your feedback your bespoke plan and style design will be created, bringing your vision to life.

Step 3: Logistical Planning & Support

Building the right team from the start is imperative. I believe in working with suppliers and artists whom I feel an alignment with. It is essential that I find the right people who complement your brief and story. I will carefully curate “team you”, encompassing leading industry experts who are equipped to bring your visions to reality. It's about curating a team who will work well together, support each other, and deliver to the highest standard, with every last detail planned, you can truly enjoy the planning process and relax on your big day.

Throughout the entire process, we will work closely with you and on your behalf; meticulously planning, sourcing, scheduling, and managing supplier communication. Creating a comprehensive 'event report' will ensure each and every detail, movement, and timing are considered in advance of your event.

Step 4: Delivery and Enjoyment

Your wedding is not just for your guests to experience; we want you to be able to immerse yourself fully into every single aspect of your day, sipping champagne, creating memories, and celebrating the next chapter in your story.

When it comes to your big day, management is the finale of our planning process. I will personally oversee the construction phase, managing and coordinating suppliers with any styling, installations, and florals.

We represent you on the day, greeting your guests; whilst maintaining a discreet and subtle presence to ensure the order of events flows naturally for the entirety of the event.

Returning the following morning to manage the removal of all items, allowing you to fully enjoy your special day free from worry and relax into your first morning as a married couple.
